A Standard Sodium Metasilicate Export Order: RFQ, COA, Container, Documents

How an illustrative one-container sodium metasilicate order moves from RFQ through batch COA and SDS, Qingdao loading, and shipping documents. Not a named shipment.

·7 min read·

Short answer

A standard sodium metasilicate export order runs from the RFQ, to an agreed specification and document list, to a Changyi production lot with its batch COA and SDS, to container loading, and then to the invoice, packing list and bill of lading out of Qingdao. Grade on the RFQ is optional.

The quantity used below — about 28 tonnes, one container — is an illustrative composite for teaching the sequence. It is not a named customer, not a price, and not the figure that will be booked.

Why the sequence is the product

Importers do not only buy powder. They buy a lot that incoming inspection can match to a COA, a safety data sheet their warehouse can file, and a container whose seal, count and documents agree. Skipping a node — quoting before packing is fixed, or asking for the shipment COA before a lot exists — is what makes the second email longer than the first.

Zhongzhi Chemical manufactures in Changyi, Shandong, and the published export routing for full containers is Qingdao. This page does not add a capacity figure or a line count. For volume, ask for the current supply plan on the RFQ.

The nodes an importer can see

The list is the commercial path, rewritten for buyers. It is not an internal shop-floor script. Each node is something you can ask to see.

About 28 tonnes is a teaching size

A full 20-foot container is the order importers mean by a standard export lot. This walkthrough calls that lot about 28 tonnes so the sequence has a single scale. Treat the 28 as illustrative.

The figures that are actually published are packing-dependent planning references: about 27 MT of 25 kg bags loaded loose, about 22 MT of palletized pentahydrate, and about 24 MT of palletized anhydrous. Jumbo bags are quoted per order. Final weight is re-checked against the container limit, the destination port and the carrier before booking. Read those references on the container-loading page rather than booking the teaching number.

COA and SDS are not the same file

The SDS describes the product for transport and warehouse safety. The batch COA reports what this lot measured against the specification you ordered. A stamped sample on Downloads shows the format; it is not evidence for the container on the water.

Ask for the COA items at the RFQ — Na₂O, SiO₂, iron, appearance, and mesh or insolubles if your incoming inspection uses them — so the laboratory sheet matches the purchase order. Do not wait until the seal number exists.

Loading and timing

Published loading practice is ordinary and visible: inspect the empty container, check product and batch against the order, plan the stow, protect the bags while loading, photograph and recount, then record the seal against the shipping documents. That is the container node. It is not a claim about a particular voyage.

Lead time in the packing notes is around two weeks as a working reference. Stock, printed bags and the Qingdao sailing change it. Payment terms and a named vessel are settled on the order, not in this article.

When the basis is ready, send it on the RFQ. The form is the first node. Grade can stay blank.

FAQ

What documents follow a sodium metasilicate export order?
After the RFQ fixes application, quantity, packing and destination port, the shipment file carries a batch COA for the lot produced, an SDS/MSDS, and a TDS when the buyer asked for it. At sailing, the commercial set is the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading, plus any certificate the order confirmation already listed. Sample files on Downloads are not the shipment COA.
Is 28 tonnes the payload of one container?
No. About 28 tonnes is an illustrative teaching size for one full container in this walkthrough, not a loading commitment. Published planning references are about 27 MT for loose 25 kg bags, about 22 MT for palletized pentahydrate, and about 24 MT for palletized anhydrous, always re-checked against the container limit and the carrier before booking.
How long does a first export order take?
Around two weeks is the published working reference from the packing notes. The date moves with stock, whether bags are standard or printed, and vessel space at Qingdao. It is not a promise on an order that has not been confirmed.
