Six Questions Before a Sodium Metasilicate Quotation

Short answer

Before quoting sodium metasilicate, confirm the application, the quantity, the packing, the destination port, the buyer type, and the documents the importer has to hand to the next buyer. Grade is optional. A message that only says “best price for sodium metasilicate” does not carry enough to price a shipment.

This note is the standing checklist of the Zhongzhi Chemical export desk (Shandong Zhongzhi Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.). It is written for importers. It is not a named customer file.

Why “best price” is the wrong first line

Sodium metasilicate is not one SKU. Anhydrous, pentahydrate and granules ship at different active contents, and 25 kg bags loaded loose do not fill a container the same way palletized bags or jumbo bags do. Freight, documents and the term (FOB Qingdao on a full container, EXW below that) all move with those choices.

Quoting a unit price before those facts are known gives the importer a number that cannot be compared with the next offer. The export desk asks first, then quotes.

The six questions

Answer these six and a factory quotation can be written. Leave grade blank if you are still comparing forms.

• Application — detergent powder, industrial cleaning, ceramic slurry, textile, pulp and paper, water treatment, or resale. The process decides which form is even a candidate.
• Quantity — a trial lot, monthly metric tons, or how many containers. Minimum order is 1 MT.
• Packing — 25 kg bags loaded loose, 25 kg bags on pallets, or 1,000 kg jumbo bags. Packing changes net weight per container.
• Destination port — the port name. A country is not enough to set freight.
• Buyer type — importing distributor, trader, or the plant that will use the material.
• Documents — batch COA, SDS/MSDS, and TDS if your customer or customs file requires them. Say so before the first reply, not after the vessel is booked.

What the reply is, and what it is not

With those six fields, Zhongzhi Chemical replies from Changyi production. Full containers are discussed FOB Qingdao, the loading port on the published customs shipment records. Orders below one container are EXW, collected by your forwarder.

The reply is a quotation against the basis you sent. It is not a public price list, and it does not lock a grade you have not chosen. Approved sample COA, TDS and SDS files are on Downloads; a shipment COA is issued for the lot that actually ships.
